Aberdeen Lodge

This small, friendly private guest house is situated in an elegant, restored Edwardian house. Central Hotel

This cheap hotel option is right in the centre and handy for the main train stations. It harks back almost 200 years to a time before every hotel seemed to be trying to become a trendy boutique abode. It is very old school Dublin and as such boasts some impressive period features in its façade and public areas and the rooms have also recently been refurbished. A nod to the times is the free Wi-Fi, though snuggle up in the Library Bar and the years still drift away.

The Merrion Hotel

The Shelbourne
