Cambridge Folk Festival

The Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the longest running and most famous folk festivals in the world, featuring the best in contemporary folk and roots music, with world-renowned headliners performing alongside up-and-coming new artists. The festival's tradition of introducing young, little-known artists is indeed what makes it special, and the Club Tent Showcases - where up-and-coming performers get the chance to play in front of a discerning audience and maybe make a bit of a name for themselves - are always popular. The festival, which started in the 1960s, has become hugely popular and sells out every year, attracting as many as 10,000 visitors, many of whom return year after year.
