Shanghai Marathon

The Shanghai Marathon attracts runners from across China and the rest the world who come to compete in this popular race. Approximately 18,000 participants take part each year and the route is lined with thousands of spectators who enthusiastically cheer the runners on. The races are divided into male and female categories and in addition to the full 42km (26 miles) marathon, there is also a 21km (13 miles) half marathon and 4.5km (2.8 miles) health run.
