Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival

With a strong emphasis on European films, the annual festival screens features by filmmakers from all over the world. The event also includes several sub-festivals for animated films, student films and children/youth films. The event presents Estonian audiences with a comprehensive selection of world cinema with a particular focus on European films and provides a friendly atmosphere for interaction between the audience, filmmakers and directors from all over the world. An international jury awards prizes for the best director, best actress and best actor.

Getting There
The majority of screenings take place in cinemas in the centre of Tallinn. Other events take place in the towns of Tartu, Viljandi and Narva which are all within approximately 160km (100 miles) of the capital.
