Things to do in Frankfurt

Walking

Frankfurt offers good opportunities for exploring on foot, whether it be along the banks of the river or in the city forest (Stadtwald) on the south side of the city, and easily reachable by public transport. The Taunus hills also offer good hiking possibilities.

Sports

Frankfurt has a number of public swimming facilities, both indoor and outdoor, while a variety of other sports, including indoor climbing, non-membership golf, and high rope courses can be enjoyed at Sportpark Kelkheim to the west of the city in the Taunus. For those wishing to spectate rather than participate, Eintracht Frankfurt plays in the top German football league, the Bundesliga.
