Weather in Geneva

Best time to visit

The summer months in Geneva have obvious appeal: the crowning glory of the Fêtes de Genève brings the city to life and drinkers and diners enjoying the long evenings on terraces. The Swiss winter has its own charms too, though, with the surrounding scenery arguably at its finest under a dusting of snow. Visitors should be aware that January and February can bring minus temperatures and June usually has more precipitation than the rest of the year.
