About Accra Kotoka International Airport (ACC)
The largest airport in Ghana, Accra Kotoka International Airport is also one of West Africa’s main air transport hubs. A third terminal is currently under construction, and is due to open in 2017.
There is an airport information desk and a Ghana Tourist Information counter in the main arrivals area.
From Accra city centre, head north along Independence Avenue and Liberation Road, following signs to the airport. The total drive time from central Accra to the airport is approximately 40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Public transport road:
Taxi:Taxis are the best way to get to Accra city centre and can be found at car park 2, close to the arrivals exit. A taxi from Accra Kotoka International Airport to Nkrumah Circle or Osu should cost around GH¢35, but most don’t have meters so make sure you agree a price before getting in. The journey time to central Accra is 25-55 minutes, depending on traffic. Additionally, a number of Accra hotels will provide shuttle services to and from the airport; these should be arranged in advance.

A bureau de change and several ATMs are available at Accra Kotoka International Airport.
Paid-for Wi-Fi internet access is available in the departures area of Accra Kotoka International Airport – vouchers are available in airport shops. Card phones are located at several points throughout the terminal; cards are available from the post office and some shops. A post office is also situated in the airport.
There is a choice of restaurants both pre and post-security at Accra Kotoka International Airport and there is a bar airside.
There are a few shops at Accra Kotoka International Airport covering basic needs, as well as duty-free outlets.
There is a lost and found office in Arrivals.
Conference and business:
A business centre in the domestic flights area provides communications and secretarial services, while the Akwaaba Lounge is available for first and business class passengers. The State Protocol Lounge is for use by senior government officials/diplomats and VIPs.

Around 1,000 spaces are available in 24-hour car parks at the airport.
Several car hire companies are represented at Accra Kotoka International Airport, with booths outside the arrivals hall. These include Avis and Europcar (chauffeur-driven cars only). A number of local operators are also present.
