Abidjan Felix Houphouet-Boigny International Airport Guide (ABJ)
Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport is located 16km (10 miles) southeast of Abidjan.

A local tourism information desk is located in the main hall (tel: 2020 6528).
The two terminals are within easy walking distance of each other.
From Abidjan, take the A100 and follow signs for Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport.
Public Transport
Bus: Bus 6, run by SOTRA (tel: 2175 7100; www.sotra.ci) operates between Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport and central Abidjan, the fare is XOF 250 and the journey takes around 25 minutes. However, the bus is considered by many to be an unsafe option and best avoided.
Taxi: Travellers are advised to choose orange taxis with an official fare display. The journey time into the city is 20-30 minutes, and daytime fares start from around XOF1500.
Terminal facilities
A bank offering a currency exchange service is located on site. There is also an ATM in the terminal, but the service can be erratic.
There is a post office at Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport. The Phone Shop hires mobile phones and sells public phone cards. Fax and email services are also available, as is internet connection.
There is a bar and a brasserie before security, as well as a restaurant serving international and local cuisine in the duty-free centre.
Several shops, including a chemist and a duty-free outlet (in the international terminal), are located on site.
Left luggage is available and porters are on hand to help.
A hotel booking service is available.
Airport facilities
There are no business or conference facilities at Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport. There is, however, a VIP lounge. Conference and meetings facilities can be found at the larger hotels in the city centre. Fax and email services are available from the on-site Phone Shop.
Wheelchairs are available on request. Travellers requiring special assistance should contact their airline prior to departure.
There are two car parks at Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport. These are located directly outside the terminals.
Car hire companies located at Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz. Car hire offices are situated outside the international terminal.
Airport hotels
Hôtel Hamanieh is located in the Marcony district of Abidjan, near to Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport.
The 135-room Hôtel Ibis Abidjan Marcory is located 7km (4.3 miles) from Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport and is linked via a free shuttle bus service. All rooms are air-conditioned and there is a bar with a terrace, as well as a swimming pool. The hotel offers free parking for guests.
The 60-room Hôtel Palm Beach is located between Abidjan city and Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport.
