Expensive (over £40)
Moderate (£25 to £40)
Cheap (up to £25)
These prices are for a three-course meal for one, including half a bottle of house wine or equivalent, tax and service.
A service charge of 12.5% will be added to your bill in most restaurants. If 'Service is not included', 10% tipping is customary.
Tate Liverpool Café
The large airy café within the Liverpool Tate is light and bright, with glorious views over Albert Dock, and offers a contemporary menu of fresh, locally sourced food at affordable prices.
Ziba
Located within the Racquet Club boutique hotel, Ziba serves classic, sophisticated British cuisine with a contemporary twist in a stunning setting with great atmosphere.
The Monro
The Monro is an excellent, cosy gastro pub offering a good-value menu of delicious food. The restaurant uses only British produce and sources ingredients as locally as possible, thereby supporting local food producers and reducing its environmental impact.
St Petersburg
In an opulent interior in boudoir red, the St Petersburg offers fine cuisine in a relaxed and unusual setting, reflecting the Russian city's gourmet traditions with its fine mix of homegrown and Western European influences.
The London Carriage Works
Created by the city's most decorated chef, Paul Askew, The London Carriage Works offers classic menus either in the relaxed brasserie or the adjacent restaurant. The building, built in the 1860s in the style of a Venetian Palazzo, was once the home of a coach and carriage builders.
Alma de Cuba
This wow-factor venue is housed in a converted Polish church, an opulent extravaganza of baroque-Cuban splendour, with a bar and restaurant where the cuisine reflects the many external influences found within Cuba, including India, China, Africa and the Caribbean.
