Money & duty free for Martinique

American Express, Diners Club and Visa are accepted in the major tourist areas. MasterCard has limited acceptance. Cards can also be used in ATMs.

Accepted in most places, and may qualify for discounts on luxury items. To avoid additional exchange rate charges, travellers are advised to take traveller's cheques in Euros or US Dollars.

There are no restrictions on the import or export of local or foreign currency. However, amounts exceeding €10,000 or equivalent must be declared if travelling from or to a country outside the European Union.
