Hiking

Minneapolis and St Paul have an abundance of lakes, rivers, wetlands, forests and grassy prairies right on their doorstep. Within a two-hour car journey from the Twin Cities there are many walking trails and scenery to explore.

Beaches

Head to Lake Calhoun, part of the Chain of Lakes, for three great beaches: 32nd, North and Thomas. It is also a popular are for fishing, windsurfing, swimming, sailing, canoeing, walking, jogging, biking and roller- and in-line skating.
