Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport is located 30km (19 miles) south of Casablanca.
0522 539 040.
Morocco’s busiest airport and one of the key air transport hubs for North Africa, Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport serves the country’s largest city, Casablanca. Our guide to the airport includes information on airport facilities, public transportation and nearby accommodation options.
Airport information desks are located in Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Tourist information is also available in Arrivals.
From the centre of Casablanca, take the A7 motorway towards Marrakech. From northeast Casablanca, take the N9 route towards Settat. The airport is signposted.
Rail: A train service (tel: 0890 203040; www.oncf.ma) operates from the airport arrivals area to Casablanca’s port and the city centre (journey time: 45 minutes). This is by far the easy and most comfortable way of travelling into the city. From Casablanca there are intercity connections to numerous major centres.
Banks with bureau de change facilities and ATMs can be found in Terminals 1 and 2. Passengers are advised to change their leftover dirhams before going through security as there is nowhere to exchange money in Departures. Technically the Moroccan dirham is a closed currency, which means it can't be traded outside the country.
There is a post office in Terminal 1. Wi-Fi connections are available in Terminals 1 and 2 and telephones can be found throughout the airport.
The restaurants and cafés at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport are concentrated in Terminals 1 and 2. Options range from sit-down restaurants serving local fare to a pizzeria in Terminal 1.
There are shops in all terminals selling a range of goods, from Moroccan arts and crafts to electronics and fashion items. Duty-free outlets can be found in all three terminals, although cigarettes and alcohol cannot be paid for in dirhams, only euros.
Fax, photocopy and internet facilities are available in the small business centre in the main hall at Terminal 1. There are no conference facilities at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport but the nearby Atlas Airport Hotel (www.hotelsatlas.com) houses meeting space.
Lifts and ramps provide easy access to most parts of the airport. Wheelchair transportation can be provided between the aeroplane and the terminal buildings – passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. Car parking spaces are dedicated to disabled passengers in the on-site car parks.
The main car park has 1,600 spaces and a further car park provides 880 spaces, both of which are opposite the terminals and offer short- and long-term rates.
Car hire companies at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport include: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National, Sixt and Thrifty, as well as several local operators.
