Travel Advice For Egypt
(03 May 2005)Following a suicide bombing and a shooting incident in Cairo on April 30 that resulted in three deaths and several injuries, the Foreign Office (FCO) has revised its travel advice for Egypt. Visitors are warned that there is a continuing threat of terrorism throughout the country. However, the FCO are not advising against travel to Egypt and reiterates that approximately 547,000 Britons visited the country in 2004 and that most visits were trouble free.
