Storms Rage On
(27 September 2004)Hurricane Jeanne has hit Florida as a Category 3 hurricane and is the fourth bout of extreme weather conditions to have hit the Sunshine State in the last six weeks. The hurricanes have already claimed over 100 lives in the state and has reportedly cost insurers $18 billion. Hurricane Jeanne has left a trail of distruction in the Caribbean killing up to 1,500 people in Haiti and leaving thousands homeless. The storm is expected to travel the length of Florida and into other eastern US states before heading back out in to the Atlantic at some point on Tuesday.
