London's parks to be campsites for 2012 Olympics
(19 January 2007)London's parks face being turned into camp and caravan sites offering cheap accommodation for the 2012 Olympics.
Hotel prices are expected to soar when the capital hosts the games and the minister for creative industries and tourism, Shaun Woodward, is concerned that visitors on low incomes may not be able to afford accommodation. He is therefore proposing that the parks could offer spaces for tents and caravans.
