(01 April 2008)Lord Nelson is the latest victim to suffer at the hands of the recent bout of tourist-related injuries.
After an American visitor scaled the dizzying heights of Nelson's Column in London's Trafalgar Square, against the better advice of concerned onlookers, the head of the much-loved hero gave way under the strain and snapped clean off.
Roe Tund from Carolina reports as having not had "any relations with that statue", but the unsuspecting climber was caught clear as day on local CCTV and now faces a life-long ban from statues worldwide.
