Parents leave three-year-old at airport

(04 August 2008)

A three-year-old girl was left behind in an Israeli airport on Sunday after her parents accidently boarded a flight without her.

The child was found wandering around a duty-free shop in Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.

Her parents had boarded their flight to Paris with four of their five children, and did not realise their mistake until they were informed by the pilot 45 minutes into the flight.

The girl was put on the next flight to Paris, and the parents will be questioned by Israeli authorities when they return to Israel.
