Win £10,000 and a Land Rover Defender

Aspiring adventurers have the chance to fulfil their travelling dreams by applying for the Royal Geographic Society and Land Rover's annual “Go Beyond” bursary.

The winner will receive £10,000 and a Land Rover Defender to fund a trip that will take them beyond their normal experiences.

All entrants have to do is provide a brief description of their journey and an outline of how it would promote a wider understanding of geography and the world we live in.

The 2008 winners are called “Team Latitude” and are driving around the world along latitude line 50° north reporting on the effects of climate change.

The closing date for applications is 26th September.
