Sex on the beach couple's appeal begins

Two Britons convicted of having sex on a beach in Dubai will begin their appeal today.

Vince Acors, 34, of Bromley, southeast London, and Michelle Palmer, 36, of Oakham, Rutland, will make their case at Dubai's Court of Appeal.

The pair were sentenced to three months in prison and a 1,000 dirhams (£160) fine in October. They were also issued with deportation orders.

Prosecutors will be in court to argue that the couple's sentences should be increased.
