Heavy floods hit southern Brazil

Over 20 people have been killed and thousands forced from their homes after severe flooding in Santa Catarina state, Brazil.

A state of emergency has been declared following the heavy rainfall of the last two months which has destroyed homes and blocked roads.

Four towns in the southern state have been cut off by the floods.

More rain is forecasted for the region.
