(28 November 2008)One of the five-star hotels seized by gunmen in Mumbai is now under control of the authorities, according to India's national security chief, JK Dutt.
Two militants were killed by commandos at the Oberoi-Trident Hotel soon after 93 guests and staff were released. Police found 24 bodies inside.
Hostages are still being held at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and a Jewish centre, where gun battles continue.
Gunmen opened fire late on Wednesday, targeting crowds at a train station, the two hotels, the Jewish centre, a hospital and a cafe popular with foreigners.
