Men fear baring bellies on the beach

(03 July 2009)

Men are as body-conscious as their female counterparts when it comes to baring their bodies on the beach, according to a survey by tescodiets.com.

Out of 2,000 men questioned, one in three said they shy away from beach holidays because they don't like what they look like in swimwear.

From the seven in 10 men that admitted to having body worries, 47% said their biggest concern was their belly.

Tescodiets.com chief, Catherine Ambrozewicz, said: "Every summer we hear plenty about women dreading having to wear a swimsuit but men clearly have many of the same issues."
