Eurostar trains to Belgium cancelled on Thursday

(03 November 2009)

Eurostar has announced the cancellation of all services between Britain and Brussels on Thursday 5 November due to strike action by Belgian rail workers.

The strikes will begin at 2100 on Wednesday, continuing until 2100 on Thursday. Nine Eurostar services to and from Brussels Midi have been cancelled, along with all other domestic and international services in and out of Belgium, including high-speed TGV, ICE and THALYS trains to France, Germany and the Netherlands.

Eurostar are advising travellers to make alternative arrangements and have confirmed that any passengers affected by the strikes can exchange their tickets for an alternative date or receive a full refund.
