Hi Hotel

Perhaps the trendiest place to stay in Nice, this is the ultra-chic creation of French designer Matali Crasset. Mingle at the Happy Bar or hit the Hi Beach before retiring to the stylish bedrooms. This is the place in Nice to look out for stars posing in their designer sunglasses.

The most exclusive address in town. An old but not fusty place that has idled by the Promenade des Anglais since 1913. There have been major refurbishments of late that have kept this old dame ahead of the game.

Le Grimaldi

Perfect boutique option, laced around two belle époque townhouses connected by a courtyard, with real personality and friendly service that the huge palace hotels struggle to match. Lovely breakfasts served in the courtyard and some of the friendliest staff in Nice.

Westminster

One of the more affordable grand old waterfront hotels with all the usual- like a private beach and belle époque architecture- covered with a minimum of fuss. Good value 4-star that has benefited from a recent renovation which has refurbished all the guest rooms. Be sure to book a sea-view room and enjoy a lazy breakfast savoured on their Promenade des Anglais terrace.
