With its excellent location just outside JR Osaka Station, the Hilton Osaka offers convenience as well as luxury to its guests. There are four restaurants serving a variety of international cuisines, including Windows on the World, which boasts great views of the city from the 35th floor and live music every evening. The hotel has a business centre with high-speed internet access, a beauty salon, barber shop, gift shop, swimming pool and fitness room.
Hotel Nikko Osaka
Hotel Nikko Osaka is a top-class hotel in Osaka, close to the main nightlife and shopping arcades of the Minami area. The spacious rooms are supremely comfortable and decorated in a sleek, modern style. There’s a good range of restaurants, including a coffee shop that has an excellent buffet breakfast. All rooms have internet connections and there’s also a business centre in the hotel.
Imperial Hotel Osaka
This opulent hotel is in a pleasant location overlooking the Okawa River in the north of Osaka, and is just as luxurious as its famous Tokyo cousin. Cross Hotel Osaka
This surprisingly stylish business hotel is just minutes away from the Minami shopping and nightlife scene. The decently sized rooms are decorated in modern colour schemes and include internet access. The hotel’s Maestro Italian restaurant serves delicious dishes of local seafood and seasonal vegetables.
Hearton Hotel Nishi-Umeda
The Hearton Hotel Nishi-Umeda is part of a reliable and popular business hotel chain. It is conveniently located just behind the main post office next to JR Osaka Station. The rooms are small but clean, and come with cable TV and complimentary internet access.
Swissôtel Nankai Osaka
Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is located in the heart of Namba, above the Nankai train station, which makes it extremely convenient for direct access to Kansai International Airport. The rooms are modestly decorated and have great views over southern Osaka. However, for something a little different it’s also possible to stay in a Japanese-style tatami room. There are also nine restaurants, bars, a gym, spa and indoor swimming pool.
Arietta Hotel
This clean and smart hotel borders on the boutique with its stylishly decorated rooms and breezy Mediterranean-style lobby. It’s close to three subway lines and the city’s main entertainment areas, making it a great place to be based for exploring Osaka. Rates include free breakfast and internet access.
Hotel Unizo Yodoyabashi
Hotel Unizo Yodoyabashi is a cheap yet elegant business-type hotel close to Osaka’s museum district. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable with spacious bathrooms and large-screen TVs. There’s also an in-house Thai spa and Italian restaurant.

Part of the excellent-value business hotel chain with an all-female English speaking staff, this Toyoko Inn is just five minutes from the Shinkansen station and makes a solid choice for a cheap hotel in Osaka. The Toyoko Inn has good facilities such as LAN internet access in the rooms, computer terminals and printers in the lobby, and a free breakfast buffet.
