The Perch

Cuisine: French

A 17th-century thatched inn set in the ‘village’ of Binsey, The Perch is as notable for being a peaceful riverside bolthole from the city centre as it is for its excellent cuisine. Menus are seasonal, but the over-riding concept is to use fresh local produce and present it “with a French twist”. Recently voted one of the best city pubs in the UK.

This establishment opened in 1996 as the first of several brasseries run by Raymond Blanc. It is one of Oxford's very best restaurants, and for the quality of the food the prices are reasonable.
