Passports: 

To enter the Northern Mariana Islands, a passport valid for at least 60 days after date of entry is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above, except nationals of the USA (1) who may use proof of citizenship such as passport, birth certificate or naturalisation papers.

Visas: 

Visas for the Northern Mariana Islands are not required by nationals referred to in the chart above, except nationals of Cyprus and Poland (2), who do require a visa as they are not current participants in the US Visa Waiver Program.

Note: Nationals not referred to in the chart are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements for the Northern Mariana Islands.

Visa note: 

(a) Nationals of Australia, Canada, Ireland and the UK (3) are exempt from Visitor Entry Permits into the Northern Mariana Islands, although this may be counteracted by individual circumstances;

(b) visitors must prove available funds to the equivalent of US$100 for each day of intended stay.

All Visitor Entry Permit applications submitted one week or less prior to arrival will be processed at an emergency administrative fee of US$100.

Types and cost: 

Various; decided according to individual cases.

Validity: 

Various. Visas are generally required for touristic stays of more than 30 days. Stays may be extended by an additional 60 days whilst in the Northern Mariana Islands.

By post: applications are dealt with on receipt.

In person: subject to the discretion of the Division of Immigration. Generally, documents needed for the processing of all Visitor Entry Permits should be submitted at least two weeks prior to arrival.
