Bar One Restaurant

Open from 0700 ‘til late weekdays choose from breakfast, a great mid-morning coffee, antipasto or pasta lunch or after-1600 menu with tapas-style food-to-share focus. Or dine from 1800 ‘til late on Saturday night with an impressive wine list to accompany fine produce.
Restaurant Amuse
A string of awards suggest Restaurant Amuse is well worth checking out. But Hadleigh Troy’s impeccable world class pedigree makes his ten-course degustation menu, complete with matched wine menu, a must-try. If that’s not enough to tempt you, one of Australia’s finest food critics, Matt Preston, says the food here is amongst Australia’s best. Reservations essential.
Cicerello's Seafood Restaurant
Fish and chip shops are plentiful around Perth, and the oldest (and one of the best) is Cicerello's in Fremantle. Open daily, it’s been serving a range of good, fresh seafood including oysters, mussels, crabs and crayfish for more than 100 years. It’s on the boardwalk at Fisherman's Wharf, Fremantle's fishing harbour. Be sure to snag a waterside seat.
Must Wine Bar
Drag yourself off the comfy ottomans in the bar (as hard as it is to leave those freshly shucked oysters, charcuterie plates, homemade chicken liver parfait, and dozens of brilliant Western Australian wines by the glass) and head into this Parisian-style bistro where the French provincial-influenced cuisine (with a twist) is based on fresh seasonal products and local inspirations. Expect to see anything on the menu from twice baked rock lobster soufflé served with a sorrel and vermouth beurre blanc to five spiced duck breast and confit with a grape and radicchio salad. The room buzzes with the chatter of locals, making for a fun night out with friends.
Little Chutney's
This chic Indian eatery is not only one of Perth's hippest dining spots, it also serves up some of the most delicious Indian food in the city. With its glam lampshades, textured wallpaper, and funky seats, the atmosphere is decidedly cool. However, the fiery Indian cuisine certainly heats things up - expect contemporary Indian fusion dishes to appear on the menu alongside classics. If you can't get in here, try their sister eatery, Chutney Mary's next door.
Zafferano
With the best views of the Swan River in Perth, this award-winning restaurant owned by Albasio La Pegna (originally from the Amalfi Coast in Italy) is a local favourite, serving up some of the finest quality seafood in town. Book a table close to the water and ask for recommendations. Stunning for weekend breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Fraser's
In Kings Park and offering city views and the Swan River, the elegant Fraser's is one of Perth's best restaurants - that kind of special occasion venue for marriage proposals and anniversaries. Superb cuisine is focused on fresh local produce with an emphasis on excellent seafood, and there's an impressive Australian-driven wine list too. In summer book a table on the terrace.
Amber Jacks
You simply cannot visit Perth and not watch the sun setting over the Indian Ocean. When you do, Amber Jacks is a great purse-friendly option for trying some local seafood. Purchase your fish ‘n’ chips at Amber Jacks, cross the road to Cottesloe Beach and dine alfresco, on a picnic blanket (byo blanket) in traditional Aussie style. Leave yourself plenty of time to gather your supplies before sunset, its busy here on weekends especially.
Andaluz Bar and Tapas
With a swag of awards, Andaluz is an intimate, contemporary tapas bar with a great selection of fine cervezas and vinos from Australia and beyond. A sleek, stylish bar in the city’s legal heart, you’ll find comfy, deep leather chesterfields alongside Parisian-style tables without a hint of clutter. Food is typically tapas with some interesting twists: Black Angus beef carpaccio and pressed rabbit terrine among them. Can’t miss the impressive cocktail menu with 16 different martini options.
