From central Lima, take E Faucett Avenue and follow the signs to the airport.

Public Transport

Public transport road: 

Shuttle: Super Shuttle Airport minibuses (tel: (01) 712 0000; www.supershuttleairport.com) run to/from central Lima, stopping along the main avenues in the city (Abancay, Tacna and Wilson avenues).

Bus: Alternatively there are also public buses, but these can get crowded at peak times, and drivers don't speak English. No buses enter the airport grounds; the nearest stop is on the main avenue that leads from the city centre to the airport. There is a new central bus terminal in Lima called Terminal Terrestre Plaza Norte.

Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport; it is recommended that passengers use the services of one of three official taxi companies located directly outside the Arrivals hall (CMV, Mitsui or Green Taxis ‘Taxis Verde’).
 

Terminal facilities

Money: 

There are bureaux de change in the main hall of the International zone and a post office on the ground level. ATMs and telephones are available throughout the airport. There is an Internet café in the international transit area, and mobile phone hire in International Arrivals.

Food: 

There are three restaurants on the mezzanine level, in the international zone, as well as cafés and fast-food outlets.

Shopping: 

Duty-free is available before customs. The Peru Plaza shopping area is situated in the main hall, with shops selling local crafts, books, magazines and other items.

Luggage: 

The left-luggage office is located in Domestic Arrivals (tel: (01) 517 3217). Baggage protection is also available in the main hall.

Other: 

There is a pharmacy and a medical centre, which can provide a vaccination service, on the mezzanine level; emergency medical services are available 24 hours a day. A private medical service is located on the first floor of the International zone.

Airport facilities

Conference and business: 

Extensive meetings and events facilities are available at the nearby Crowne Plaza Hotel (tel: (01) 610 0700; www.ichotelsgroup.com). An office of one of Peru's private telephone companies, Telefonica, is located in the main hall, open 24 hours a day (tel: (01) 484 4554). It is equipped with telephone booths, as well as fax and Internet facilities. There are three VIP lounges operated by airlines and other organisations, the Peru VIP Lounge; the VIP Club Lounge for first-class passengers of specific airlines, and the Authorities Lounge. Diners cardholders may use the VIP lounges in the terminal.

Disabled facilities: 

There are adapted toilets for disabled travellers; ramps provide wheelchair access to all areas of the terminal. Passengers requiring wheelchairs should contact their airline in advance. Facilities for visually impaired and hearing-impaired passengers comply with international regulations.

Car parking: 

The car park is located in front of the main terminal building. The first 10 minutes of parking are free; parking is then paid on an hourly basis. Long-term parking is located to the right of the car park entrance. Car parks are operated by Los Portales Estacionamientos SAC (website: www.losportalesestacionamientos.com).

Car rental: 

Budget, Hertz and National are all represented at the airport, with desks in International Arrivals.

Airport hotels

There are a number of hotels near Jorge Chávez Lima-Callao International Airport. Information on nearby hotels is available from the information desks.

 

Manhattan Inn Airport Hotel

The Manhattan Inn Airport Hotel is situated five minutes from Jorge Chávez Lima-Callao International Airport and provides airport transfers at an extra cost. The hotel has a bar, restaurant and Wi-Fi Internet facilities.
