Plans have been approved to expand the existing international terminal, following the opening of a new domestic terminal in 2007. A new multi-storey car park was opened in 2010.

Driving directions:
John Paul II International Airport Cracow-Balice is easy to find. It can be reached from the city centre by four different roads, and all are well signposted. The airport also has its own exit ramp from the A4 motorway.
Public Transport
Public transport rail:
Rail: A shuttle train service (tel: 022 19436; www.przewozyregionalne.pl) operates between the airport and the city centre (journey time: 18 minutes). During the daytime, there are services every 30 minutes, while early in the morning and late in the evening there are hourly services. The Cracow-Balice train station is located 200m (656ft) from the passenger terminal and can easily be reached on foot (journey time: 5 minutes) or by taking the free shuttle bus service (journey time: 3 minutes). A single fare is zł10.
Public transport road:
Bus: Bus lines 208 and 292, plus night bus 902 (www.mpk.krakow.pl), link John Paul II International Airport Cracow-Balice with the city. The journey time is around 25 minutes, and the single fare zł3.20.
Taxi: A 24-hour taxi service is offered by Radio Taxi 19191 (tel: 012 19191) - the airport's official taxi provider. The journey time from John Paul II International Airport Cracow-Balice to the city centre is about 20 minutes and the fare starts from around zł50.
Terminal facilities
Money:
There is a bank, an ATM and three foreign exchange offices in the international terminal. A further currency exchange office is located in the domestic terminal.
Communication:
A post office is located in the international terminal. Wireless internet access is available in the public area of the passenger terminal, in the departure hall, the executive lounge and in the VIP lounge area.
Food:
Several restaurants, cafés and bars serving food, snacks and cold and hot drinks are available in the international terminal. There is also a café in the domestic terminal building.
Shopping:
Various shops are located in the public area of the international terminal. On offer is a wide range of souvenirs, jewellery, spirits, tobacco and food products. The duty-free shop (for passengers travelling outside the EU) is situated in the international departure hall and is available to passengers on international flights. Cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco, sweets and souvenirs are sold here. A newsagent is located in the domestic terminal.
Luggage:
There are lost luggage offices located in the arrivals areas of both terminals at John Paul II International Airport Cracow-Balice. Luggage trolleys are available free of charge in the parking lot near the entrance to the international terminal and in the arrival lounge. Baggage lockers are located opposite the International Terminal.
Other:
A first aid facility is located on the first floor of the international terminal. The airport chapel is available to all travellers during airport opening hours. A baby changing room is available 24 hours a day free of charge and is located at the mezzanine in the public area of the international terminal.

Conference and business:
The business lounge (tel: 012 639 3353) is equipped with internet access, workspace, satellite TV, printer, copier, fax machine and a card phone. A VIP lounge (tel: 012 639 3354), designed for up to 16 persons, is available for a fee after prior booking. Meeting and conference facilities are available at many of the larger city centre hotels.
Disabled facilities:
John Paul II International Airport Cracow-Balice offers good accessibility to travellers with disabilities. Toilets and lifts are adjusted to the needs of disabled people, and there are signs indicating the best routes through the terminal building and to the parking lot. There are also trained personnel ready to help in every situation.
Car parking:
There is limited short-term parking outside both terminals. Long-term parking is available both in the open-air car park and within the new multi-storey facility opposite the international terminal.
Car rental:
Car hire companies represented at John Paul II International Airport Cracow-Balice include: Avis, Budget, Dollar, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. The relevant offices are situated on the ground level (Level 0) of the international terminal.
