Opened in 2008, the 'tea warehouse' is a modern combination of wine and cocktail bar, lounge and exhibition space, and is open daily (except Monday) until the small hours.

Bar O Cais

Live Music in Porto

Casa da Musica

The whole building houses a great variety of musical events aimed at a wide-ranging audience, from babies to teenagers to older people, and all kinds of music are performed here. It is home to the Orquestra Nacional do Porto and has a hugely impressive concert hall, but it also has lots of other halls and rooms for a wide variety of musical events and genres.

Hot Five

One of the city's best jazz clubs, Hot Five offers a great choice of live jazz and blues amid a buzzing atmosphere close to the centre of the city. Top musicians supply the entertainment.

Restaurante Mal Cozinhada

Porto's top venue for folk and traditional music, Mal Cozinhado is the spot to head for if you want to experience Portugal's most famous musical style, fado. While this originated in the moorish quarter of Lisbon, it is popular throughout the country.

Cinema Batalha

Opened in the 1940s, this distinctive building has two auditoria, and as well as film screenings, it stages theatrical productions and musical concerts. It also features bars and a large restaurant.

Coliseu do Porto
