Flying to Azores

TAP Air Portugal (TP) (www.flytap.com) operates flights to the Azores. The Azores' local airline, SATA Air Açores (SP) (www.sata.pt), runs interconnecting flights between the islands, and operates from Lisbon to Ponta Delgada.

From London to the Azores is 5 hours, plus stopover time in Lisbon.

Getting to Azores by boat

Main portsPonta Delgada , Horta, Angra do Heroismo and Praia da Vitoria.

Ferry operators:

Transmaçor (tel: 292 200 380; www.transmacor.pt) operates regular ferries year-round between Faial, Pico, São Jorge and Terceira. During the summer, Atlânticoline (tel: 296 288 933; www.atlanticoline.pt) sails to every island except Corvo.
