Seattle Nightlife

Nightlife in Seattle’s most fashionable districts (Pioneer Square, Belltown, University District, Capitol Hill and Ballard) are dominated by clubs, bars, coffee houses, cinemas and eccentric eateries. The minimum drinking age is 21 years. Most Seattle bars are open 1100 til 0200, though some don't open until 1700.

Seattle is home to a vibrant performing arts scene. The Greater Seattle area boasts over two dozen professional theatre companies, and over 80 fringe theatre companies, as well as more than 80 live music clubs, 16 symphony orchestras, 18 major art, cultural and scientific heritage museums and over 200 art galleries. Ticketmaster (tel: (206) 292 2787 or 800 745 7849; www.ticketmaster.com) sells tickets to all cultural events in Seattle, as does Pacific Northwest Ticket Service (tel: (206) 232 0150 or 1 800 281 0753; www.nwtix.com).
