Megève has more than 40,000 guest beds in and around the village in reflection of its status as one of the leading ski resorts in France. Most of these are in chalets and apartments, but there are also about 20 hotels in Megève – most in the 3- or 4-star category (the highest two categories in France until the recently introduced 5-star rating).
