Airport news:
A new terminal complex opened in 2011, and the previous two separate terminals were closed. However, plans are in place to 'resurrect' these by 2014, following completion of a connecting hall.

From Alicante, take the Alicante-Murcia route and leave at the airport junction; alternatively, take the national road N-340 to Alicante Airport. From Benidorm, take the A-7 southwards.
Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: The C6 public bus service operated by Subús (www.subus.es) runs every 20 minutes to/from Alicante central bus station (journey time: approximately 20 minutes; fare: €2.70). Other services run to Benidorm and Murcia. All buses depart from opposite the arrivals hall.
Taxi: Taxis are available in front of the arrivals hall at Alicante Airport (journey time to Alicante: 15-20 minutes; fare: from €20). Further taxi information (tel: 96 542 7777) is available.

Money:
Bureaux de change and ATMs are located within the terminal building.
Communication:
Payphones are located throughout the terminal. Paid-for Wi-Fi access is available and there are also internet kiosks at various locations within the main building.
Food:
There are several bars, cafés and restaurants, as well as a fast-food outlet and ice cream parlour. The majority of these outlets are located on the second floor, in the departures area.
Shopping:
Alicante Airport offers various shops; these include newsagents, a tobacconist's, gift and jewellery shops, a music and electronics retailer store and a sports outlet. There are also three duty-free shops for passengers leaving the EU.
Luggage:
There are lost property offices on the ground floor. There is no left-luggage facility at Alicante Airport.
Other:
Other facilities at Alicante Airport include a 24-hour first aid service and a pharmacy, plus a number of tour operator offices.

Conference and business:
There is a meeting room for hire on the terminal's ground floor and a VIP lounge (tel: (96) 919 149) offering internet access and café facilities. More extensive meeting and conference facilities are available at the region's hotels – the nearest such facilities are at the Hotel Areca (tel: (96) 568 5477; www.hotelareca.es), about 2km (1.6 miles) from the airport.
Disabled facilities:
There is a designated area outside the terminal building for dropping-off disabled passengers. There are also designated parking spaces for disabled passengers in the airport car park opposite the terminal building. Alicante Airport also has lifts, ramps and disabled toilets; wheelchairs are available on request and it is advised to pre-arrange the provision and collection of a wheelchair before arriving at the airport. Car parking:
Parking is available in two car parks, with a total capacity of 3,000 spaces. One car park is located opposite the terminal building and the other next to it; long- and short-term parking rates are available in both.
Car rental:
Car hire is available from Avis, Centauro, Europcar, Goldcar Rental, Hertz, National Atesa, Record Go and Sixt.
Hotels
A 4-star property, this is the closest accommodation to Alicante Airport. The hotel is served by bus 1A or 1B from the terminal, and offers leisure facilities including indoor pool, a restaurant and garden. A number of meeting rooms are available for hire.
