Fuerteventura Airport Guide (FUE)
Fuerteventura Airport is located 5km (3 miles) south of the capital of the island, Puerto del Rosario.

Work on a three-phase expansion of the terminal building continues, including the provision of more check-in desks and an automated baggage handling system.
There are two Aena information desks (tel: (902) 404 704) within the terminal building, one on each floor. A tourist office is located in the arrivals area.
Fuerteventura Airport is located 5km (3 miles) south of Puerto del Rosario and can be easily reached via the FV-2 motorway.
Public Transport
Bus: Local bus company Tiadhe (tel: (928) 852 166; www.tiadhe.com) serves the airport, with bus 3 running between Puerto del Rosario and Caleta de Fuste (El Castillo), and bus 10 operating between Puerto del Rosario and Morro Jable. Buses depart from outside the terminal every 30 minutes from early morning until late in the evening from Monday to Saturday, and less frequently on Sundays. The fare from Fuerteventura Airport to Puerto del Rosario is less than €2, and the journey time is around 20 minutes. Many tour operators arrange hotel transfers for their passengers.
Taxi: Taxis are available at the kerb opposite the arrivals hall. It is possible to book a taxi in advance (tel: (928) 855 432 or 928 850 216). The fare to Puerto de Rosario is around €9.
Terminal facilities
A bank and various ATMs are available in the terminal building.
Public payphones are available.
There are two cafés – one on each floor – selling sandwiches, beer, spirits, soft drinks, mixed drinks, espresso coffee and snacks. A cafeteria on the ground floor sells sandwiches, confectionery, coffee, soft drinks, beer and spirits. An outlet for ice cream and cakes is also available.
Fuerteventura Airport has two shops selling a variety of gift and fashion products; these can be found on the first floor in Departures. A duty-free shop selling spirits, chocolates, cosmetics and well-known brands of national and international perfumes is also in this area. There is also a shop selling local handcrafts and themed Canary Island gifts, as well as two newsagents.
A lost property service is available from the Aena information desk on the ground floor. There are no luggage lockers at Fuerteventura Airport.
A first aid service is available. There is also a play area for children.
Airport facilities
A VIP lounge is located in the check-in area. A photocopying service is available at the Aena information desk on the ground floor.
Facilities for the disabled include: reserved parking spaces, bright signalling for the visually impaired, handrails, ramps, lifts, text telephones, accessible toilets, and emergency intercoms.
The main P1 car park is located opposite the terminal building and has parking spaces for 945 cars. Parking is free for the first half hour.
Car hire companies represented at Fuerteventura Airport include: Avis, Cicar, Hertz, Payless and Top Car.

Located near the beach, Hotel Fuerteventura Playa Blanca offers accommodation in a good location between Fuerteventura Airport and the town of Puerto del Rosario.
