There are two information desks at Tenerife South Airport; these are located in the central hall opposite Arrivals and Departures. The information desks can provide passengers with assistance concerning flight enquiries, airport information and lost property.
Tenerife South Airport is close to the TF1 motorway, which links Santa Cruz with the south of the island. It has its own dedicated exit from the motorway.
From Playa de las Américas, join the TF1 and head eastbound. After 15-20km (10-12 miles), turn off the motorway onto the airport access road.
From Santa Cruz, head southbound on the TF1. After around 60km (37 miles), turn off onto the airport access road.
Bus: Local buses (tel: (922) 531 300; www.titsa.com) leave regularly from outside Arrivals at Tenerife South Airport. Bus 111 links the airport with Santa Cruz (fare: €9) and Playa de las Américas (fare: €3.10); bus 343 serves Puerto de la Cruz (fare: €13) and the island's North Airport (fare: €9.35); while bus 450 also links Tenerife South Airport to Playa de las Américas (fare: €3.10) and Granadilla (fare: €2.45).
Shuttle: Many tour operators include transfers in their packages. Shared shuttle services are also available.
Taxi: Taxis (tel: (922) 759 009) are available to Santa Cruz (approximate fare: €70), Playa de las Américas (approximate fare: €30) and other island destinations from in front of Arrivals.
There is a bank on the ground floor of the terminal building – ATMs are also available at various points. A bureau de change kiosk is situated in the airport lobby, opposite Arrivals.
Public telephones are available throughout the terminal. The on-site post office is located in the public area of Departures.
A small selection of restaurants, bars, cafés and fast-food outlets is available before and after the security screening area. Among them is a tapas restaurant in the public area.
There is a good choice of shops at Tenerife South Airport, ranging from bookshop/newsagents and gift shops to fashion boutiques. Duty-free is available at outlets before and after the security area.
Two airport lounges – the Aena Lounge (tel: (922) 759 229) and the Teide Lounge (tel: (922) 759 230) – provide meeting and conference space. The Montaña Roja (tel: (922) 922 759 425) VIP lounge in the departures area is available for use by travllers on certain airlines. There is an additional conference room in the public departures area.
The airport is wheelchair accessible and there are lifts to take passengers to the upper level. Telephones, restaurants and toilets are all physically accessible, and facilities to assist disabled passengers from the aircraft to the terminal are available. Disabled travellers are advised to notify their airline of any special requirements at least 72 hours prior to departure.
There are more than 800 car parking spaces at Tenerife South Airport. Short- and long-term parking is situated just across the road from the terminal building, near the bus stops and taxi rank. Parking in airport car parks is free for the first 15 minutes.
Car hire companies represented at Tenerife South Airport include: Avis, Europcar, Hertz and a number of local operators. Desks for these companies are located in the central hall.
