St Lucia travel advice

Most visits to St Lucia are trouble-free but you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate international terrorist attacks, which could be against civilian targets, including places frequented by foreigners.

Violent crime is a problem within local communities, and can sometimes affect tourists. Crimes include muggings, and thefts from hotels, yachts or holiday homes.

The hurricane season in St Lucia normally runs from June to November.

Dengue Fever is endemic to Latin America and the Caribbean and can occur throughout the year. There was a marked increase in the number of reported cases of dengue across the region in 2007, including 13 cases to date in St Lucia.
