Shopping in Turin
Shopping in Turin offers something for everyone.
Classic big name brands such as Ferragamo, Armani and Dolce & Gabbana can be found under the elegant arcades of Via Roma. Funkier (and less expensive) clothes shops line Via Garibaldi and Via Po, the latter also offering a good choice of shoe shops and antiquarian bookshops.
The city has many historic chocolate shops including Peyrano, corso Vittorio Emanuele 11, 76, and Stroppiana, Via Paoli 51. A good selection of Piedmontese wines is available from Antico Enoteca del Borgo, via Monferrato 4 and Casa del Barolo, via Andrea Doria, 7.
Turin is home to Europe's largest open-air market, Porta Palazzo on Piazza della Repubblica. Just behind it is Balon, a popular flea market.
Shops generally open Monday to Saturday 0930-1230 and 1530-1930.
