Istanbul Sabiha Goekcen International Airport Guide (SAW)

The airport’s new terminal building, with an annual capacity of 25 million passengers, opened at the end of October 2009. A new metro rail link is under construction.
Two information desks are situated in the international (tel: (0216) 588 8585) and domestic (tel: (0216) 588 8686) departures areas.
The terminals are situated within walking distance of each other.
From Istanbul city centre, take the E-6 express highway or the E-5 highway; follow signs for the airport and take the Pendik/Kurtköy exit.
Public Transport
Bus: There is a regular shuttle bus service (tel: (0212) 245 0720; www.iett.gov.tr) between the airport and the city centre (journey time: 30-45 minutes); services also connect Sabiha Gökçen International Airport and Atatürk International Airport (journey time: 60-70 minutes).
Taxi: Taxis are available 24 hours a day to destinations in and around Istanbul. Istanbul Airport Service (tel: (0212) 458 2209; www.istanbulairportservice.com) offers fixed price city and hotel transfers.
Water: The IDO Sea Bus Port (tel: (0212) 444 4436; www.ido.com.tr) is situated 8km (5 miles) away; this provides connections to the different districts of Istanbul, as well as to neighbouring towns and cities.
Terminal facilities
There are banks with bureau de change facility, ATMs and a post office. Telephones can be found throughout the airport, and Internet access is available.
There are restaurants and cafés throughout the airport.
There is a shopping centre in Departures and are various duty-free shops in Arrivals and Departures.
There is a left luggage facility in Arrivals; baggage packing services are also offered. A paid-for porter service is available.
An ambulance and first aid facilities are on hand. There is a pharmacy on the first floor. Prayer rooms are also available.
Airport facilities
There are no conference facilities within the airport, however there are extensive meetings facilities in the new Airport Hotel (tel: (0216) 588 5000; www.isgairporthotel.com) adjacent to the terminal. There is a Wings VIP lounge in the terminal.
Full disabled facilities are available; including wheelchair service, disabled toilets, staff assistance, designated parking and adapted ATMs and telephones.
A four-storey car park adjacent to the terminal has capacity for over 4,000 vehicles.
Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, and Sixt are represented at the airport; all have offices on the Arrivals floor.
