Money & duty free for Alderney

Currency information: 

Pound (GBP; symbol £) = 100 pence. UK notes and coins are legal tender and circulate together with Channel Islands issue, which are in the same denominations. Channel Islands notes can be reconverted at parity in UK banks, although they are not accepted as legal tender in the UK.

Alderney duty free

The following goods may be imported into Alderney by persons over 18 years of age without incurring customs duty:

• 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 250g of tobacco.
• 2L of still table wine.
• 1L of alcoholic beverages over 22% proof or 2L of fortified wine/sparkling wine/liqueurs or an additional 2L of still table wine.
• Other goods to a value of £145.
