Sark Herm Travel Guide

The Channel Islands of Sark and Herm are beguiling places of pure natural beauty. Car-free and tranquil, Sark is heavily dependent on tourism, and visitors are treated warmly by residents while the unspoilt landscape serves as an impressive welcome.

Birders, botanists and walkers alike enjoy unpolluted waters and little human intrusion on land; it is often remarked that visiting Sark is like stepping back in time.

Herm Island's minute size has helped it remain untouched by modern technology and landscaping. Herm is almost entirely devoted to tourism and is a favourite for 'locals' from the surrounding islands. Like Sark, Herm is car-free, as well as bicycle-free, with no noise or light pollution upsetting the landscape.
