Expansion of the terminal building is ongoing, and scheduled for completion in early 2011.
The airport information desk (tel: (020) 7646 0088) is located on the left by the entrance to the terminal.
The airport can be accessed from north London via the North Circular Road (A406), from south London via the Blackwall Tunnel, from east London via the A13 and from the M11 via the A406 (North Circular). The airport can be reached from the West End of London via the Limehouse link tunnel.
Public Transport
Rail: Docklands Light Railway services run from the City of London and Canning Town underground station and rail station (tel: (020) 7222 1234; www.tfl.gov.uk). Trains run every seven minutes, and take 14 minutes to reach Canning Town, and 22 minutes to reach Bank station.
Bus: Local bus 473 runs to Stratford and North Woolwich, and bus 474 serves Canning Town. A payable daily shuttle bus service runs every 30 minutes to a number of hotels in the area.
Taxi: There is a stand with licensed black taxis, located directly outside the terminal building. Fares to central London start from £20-25.
Terminal facilities
Facilities include a bank, bureaux de change, ATMs and a post box. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the terminal.
There are cafés and restaurants both before security and airside, and there is a bar in the Departures area.
There are several shops at the airport, including a newsagents/bookshop and a tax- and duty-free shop. A collection service is available for returning shoppers.

There is a shoeshine service.
Airport facilities
The Meridian Business Centre has facilities for up to 120 people in 16 meeting and conference rooms which include private work offices, audiovisual equipment, secretarial support, fax, photocopying, Internet access, catering and private dining facilities. An additional 17 rooms are offered at LCY Jet Centre, located in the short stay car park (tel: (020) 7646 0900).
The terminal is fully accessible to disabled passengers; aircraft boarding assistance is provided, travellers should advise the airline in advance. Airport shuttle buses have dedicated facilities for disabled passengers and there are car parking spaces allocated close to the terminal building for disabled travellers.
The main long- and short-stay car parks are next to the terminal. There is also a business car park at the airport. For more information, contact BCP (tel: 0871 360 2866; www.parkbcp.co.uk). Valet parking is available Monday to Friday (tel: (020) 7646 0155).
Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National are represented at the airport; car hire desks are located next to the terminal building.
Airport hotels
Express by Holiday Inn is located near London City Airport and is close to transport links at Canning Town. The hotel has car parking spaces and Internet (both at an additional charge).
Novotel London Excel is located within easy reach of London City Airport and has an on-site restaurant, available steam room and sauna facilities and meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 70 people.
Ramada London Docklands is four minutes from London City Airport. The hotel has an on-site restaurant, bar and meeting facilities.
Travelodge London Docklands is located near London City Airport. Parking is available close to the hotel at an additional charge.
