Getting Around Arkansas, USA

Road:

Driving a car around Arkansas will enable you to appreciate the state's natural beauty, heritage and and diversity.

There are two scenic byways; the Great River Road and Crowley's Ridge Parkway, which penetrate agricultural lands, historical towns, woodlands and forests.

The Arkansas Scenic 7 route is more dramatic, offering jaw-dropping views through the Ozark and Ouachita mountains.

Getting around towns and cities:

In Little Rock, there is a good bus and streetcars network provided by the Central Arkansas Transit Authority (www.cat.org).

Rail:

The Eureka Springs & North Arkansas Railway (www.esnarailway.com) route runs from April to October and offers a vintage, turn-of-the-century rail experience.
