Driving directions: 

Exit I-10 at Gene Autry Trail (Palm Drive). Turn right at Ramon Avenue and then right at Kirk Douglas Way and head for the airport entrance.

Public transport road: 

Bus: The Morongo Basin Transit Authority (tel: (760) 366 2395; ) serves the immediate Palm Springs area, and a number of destinations in the Yucca Valley with regular scheduled services.

Terminal facilities

Money: 

ATMs are located in the centre of the terminal and next to the pay phones in the departure terminal near gate 4. Wireless Internet access is available throughout all public areas of the terminal.

Food: 

There is a full-service restaurant, a golf-themed restaurant, and a grill offering food to take away. A coffee bar is located in the centre of the concourse near gate 10.

Shopping: 

Four outlets offer a wide selection of quality merchandise, including many items with desert and southwest themes. There are two outlets offering a wide selection of magazines, books, snacks, drinks and practical travel items. One is accessible to all airport visitors in the main terminal adjacent to security checkpoint and the other is located in the courtyard area near gate 9. A retail shop offering a selection of gift items is located on the upper level of the concourse prior to gate 5. A themed shop carries a multitude of items for golf enthusiasts.

Other: 

A play structure for children is located in the grassy area between gates 1 and 2 past the security checkpoint. The terminal is designed to take advantage of the beautiful weather in the region, and there is a sizeable outdoor waiting area past the security checkpoint, just steps from the boarding gates.

Conference and business: 

There are no conference or business facilities at the airport. However numerous nearby hotels, and the Palm Springs Convention Centre (tel: (760) 325 6611; website: www.palmspringscc.com), offer meetings and event facilities of all sizes.

Disabled facilities: 

Wheelchairs and Skycap assistance are available at the terminal kerbside for travellers requiring assistance. Arrangements may be made at the airline ticket counters for wheelchair or Skycap assistance at the destination airport.

Car parking: 

The airport's parking facility offers two short term and two long term car parks, the short term ones located immediately opposite the terminal and the long term lots a little further away. There is additionally a 'cell phone' lot for drivers waiting to pick up arriving passengers.

Car rental: 

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Go, Hertz, National and Thrifty are the car hire companies represented at the airport. Additionally, Eaglerider offers Harley-Davidson motorcycle hire.

Airport hotels

There is no hotel on the airport precinct, however there are many within a short drive and in the various other resorts surrounding Palm Springs.
