Take the Airport Expressway from the Interstate 465 loop off Interstate 70, which connects Indianapolis International Airport to central Indianapolis.
Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: IndyGo (tel: (317) 635 3344; indygo.net) buses connect Indianapolis International Airport to central Indianapolis. The express Greenline service runs from 0500 to 2100 daily and serves city centre hotels and the Indiana Convention Centre (fare: US$7). Bus 8, also operated by IndyGo, provides a scheduled service along Washington Street (fare: US$1.75). The Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (tel: (317) 327 7585; www.cirta.us) also offers express bus services to the city centre (fare: US$5). Bus stops are located outside the ground transportation centre and opposite the baggage reclaim areas.
Shuttle: There is a shuttle bus service to Champaign and Urbana operated by Lincoln Land Express (tel: (217) 352 6682; www.lincolnlandexpress.com); a route to Bloomington and Indiana University operated by Bloomington Shuttle Service (tel: 1 800 589 6004; www.bloomingtonshuttle.com); and a link to Lafayette and Purdue University operated by Lafayette Limo (tel: (765) 497 3828; www.lafayettelimo.com).
Taxi: Taxis leave from the lower level of the terminal building, outside baggage reclaim. Passengers can call a taxi by pushing the taxi call button located in the taxi area. Shared-ride limousine services and luxury limousine services both leave from the Ground Transportation Centre on the first floor of the main car park.

Telephones are situated throughout the terminal. Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the airport. A post box is located in the ticketing area; stamps can be purchased from the Guest Services desk.

Indianapolis International Airport has a variety of full-service and fast-food restaurants, bars and coffee shops in the food court. Options range from American and Mexican to French and Asian cuisines. Restaurants, snack bars, fast-food outlets, coffee shops and bars are also situated on the concourses.

There is a wide selection of shops at Indianapolis International Airport, the majority of which are located in the ‘Civic Area’. Retailers include a bookshop, sunglasses shop, leather goods shop and sweet shop. Newsagents and gift shops are located on each concourse.

Conference rooms and business facilities are available at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport (tel: (317) 244 6861; www.ichotelsgroup.com), located within the airport grounds. The hotel offers a full business centre with PC, printing, fax and photocopying facilities, as well as 15 meeting rooms accommodating up to 600 delegates. The Radisson Hotel Indianapolis Airport (tel: (317) 244 3361; www.radisson.com) has 11 meeting rooms, a grand ballroom, an executive boardroom seating 14 and four additional rooms for small gatherings.
Disabled facilities:
Ramps and lifts are fitted throughout the terminal and concourses of Indianapolis International Airport. The terminal is also equipped with TDD telephones, disabled toilets and lowered telephones. Assistance with wheelchairs can be sought from the information centre, from individual airlines themselves, or from Skycap porters. Disabled parking is also available. Passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.
Car parking:
A short-term five-level car park is situated immediately next to the terminal and is connected to the upper level by enclosed walkways. A further short-term car park can be reached by walking down Lower Terminal Drive from the lower level of the terminal building. The first half hour of parking in these areas is free of charge. Long-term parking is available within walking distance of the terminal, on the corner of Raymond Street and High School Road. The economy car park, off High School Road, offers long-term parking with regular shuttle connections to the terminal. Premier Business Class parking, at the front of the long-term car park, provides both long-term and business-class parking.
Car rental:
There are seven car hire companies at Indianapolis International Airport, which have desks in the Ground Transportation Center. On-site companies include: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty. There is also a car hire phone bank in Arrivals for off-site companies.
Airport hotels
Radisson Hotel Indianapolis Airport
Despite being located on site at Indianapolis International Airport, the Radisson is connected to the terminal building by a free shuttle service. Hotel facilities include a range of function rooms, including a ballroom, as well as a fitness centre and restaurant.
