Coming from the north or south, take the Maine Turnpike exit 46, go through the toll booth, and turn right. The entrance to Portland International Jetport is straight ahead. When coming from the north on Interstate 295, after passing downtown Portland, take the exit marked Congress Street 5B. Continue west past Westgate Shopping Center and the entrance to Portland International Jetport is 2km (1.3 miles) further, on the left.
Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: Greater Portland Transit District METRO (tel: (207) 774 0351; www.gpmetrobus.com) operates bus 5 into central Portland, stopping at the central train and bus stations. The journey time is less than 15 minutes and the fare is US$1.50.
Taxi: A taxi service (tel: (207) 879 1903) is available from the first morning flights to the last flights in the evening. Fixed flat rates apply to many journeys and the approximate fare to central Portland is US$17.

ATMs are available on the ground level of the terminal.
Communication:
Free Wi-Fi internet access and charging stations are located throughout the terminal building.
Food:
There is a full-service restaurant as well as a coffee bar on the upper level. Fast food outlets, including a café offering takeaway lobster, can be found in several locations.
Shopping:
There are news stands and a gift shop, along with two newly opened Maine produce specialist outlets close to gate 7.
Luggage:
There are no luggage storage facilities at Portland International Jetport. For luggage lost in the terminal, call the Portland Police Airport Office (tel: (207) 756 8320).
Airport facilities
Conference and business:
The business centre is located in the area between gates 7 and 8, just beyond the Maine Gate lounge. It has a photocopy machine and seven workstations. Each workstation features a telephone, and some of them also offer high-speed internet connections. There are currently no conference rooms available at Portland International Jetport. Meeting facilities are available at the adjacent Hilton Garden Inn hotel (tel: (207) 828 1117; hiltongardeninn.hilton.com) and at other hotels in the city.
Disabled facilities:
Portland International Jetport is fully accessible to disabled travellers.
Car parking:
Long-term surface and garage parking is connected to the terminal by a covered walkway. Short-term parking is also available in a surface car park next to the terminal. There is a remote parking area, connected via a shuttle service, that is used for only a few days during the winter. Car rental:
Car hire companies at Portland International Jetport include: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National. Car hire desks are located in a central car rental area in the covered parking area, immediately outside the terminal.

Courtyard by Marriott Portland Airport
Located 5km (3 miles) from Portland International Jetport, the Courtyard hotel provides a free shuttle service to the airport on request. Complimentary parking is available and high-speed internet access is also offered to guests. There is also a spa with a range of treatments.

Days Inn Airport Maine Mall
Connected to the nearby Portland International Jetport by a shuttle bus service, the Days Inn hotel is also close to the Maine Mall shopping complex. A complimentary breakfast is included in the room rate, and guests can make use of parking, a fitness centre and business services.
