From New York to Las Vegas is 5 hours.

Travel by rail

Amtrak (tel: 1 800 872 7245; website: www.amtrak.com) trains stop at Reno, 135 East Commercial Row, on the 'California Zephyr' line, which links Chicago with Emeryville (California). There is no Amtrak service to Las Vegas, although a Thruway bus service operates from the airport station (from the Charter Bus Area) and the Greyhound Station, 200 South Main Street.
