Airport news:
The Terminal 2 expansion project was completed in early 2011, making Terminal 2 the primary terminal at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and more than doubling its size. Plans to expand Terminal 1 are in place, with construction expected to begin in 2012.

Information desks (tel: (919) 840 2123) are located in the baggage reclaim area of both terminals. Visitor services representatives and volunteers are present throughout the day to answer passenger and visitor questions. Tourist information is also available at the information desks.

Driving directions:
Raleigh-Durham International Airport is located at the mid-point between Raleigh and Durham, off Interstate 40 and Highway 70. From Interstate 40, take exit 284B (Airport Boulevard) or 285 (Aviation Parkway). From Highway 70, take exit 293 and follow signs for the airport.
Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: Triangle Transit Authority's bus 100 (tel: (919) 485 7433; www.gotriangle.org) links Raleigh-Durham International Airport with downtown Raleigh (journey time: 35 minutes; fare: US$2).
Taxi: RDU Airport Taxi Service (tel: (919) 840 7277; www.rdutaxiinc.com) provides pre-bookable services to a number of local destinations. Fares to Raleigh and Durham are around $30, and the journey time to both is about 30 minutes. Taxi booths are available outside both terminals.

There is a bureau de change in Terminal 2, and ATMs are available in both terminals.
Communication:
Telephones are located within the terminal buildings. Paid-for Wi-Fi internet access is provided throughout the terminals.
Food:
There are plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants in Terminal 2, and a more limited offering in Terminal 1.
Shopping:
There is a newsagents, an electronic shop and a female accessories outlet in Terminal 1. Terminal 2 offers duty-free shopping, as well as numerous specialised outlets, from clothing outlets to bookshops.
Luggage:
A lost property service is available from the RDU Airport Authority Police Department office (tel: (919) 840 7550). Baggage trolleys are available for hire.
Other:
Other facilities at Raleigh-Durham International Airport include an interfaith chapel, an express spa, shoeshine and family restrooms with infant changing facilities.

All toilets, car parks and shuttles are wheelchair-accessible, with spaces reserved in all car parks at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The terminal is fully accessible, with lifts connecting all areas. TDD telephones are available throughout each terminal. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.
Car parking:
There are hourly and daily car parks between the two terminals with more than 11,000 spaces. Two park-and-ride car parks (tel: (919) 840 2140) are located further away, with courtesy bus services linking to the terminals. A further two park-and-ride lots are used for overflow parking.
