A new multistorey car park, with a total of 1,400 spaces, was opened in 2010 as part of Dayton International Airport’s $156 million five-year improvement programme.

Driving directions: 

From the south, take Interstate 75 northwards to Interstate 70 and then west to exit 32. From the east, take Interstate 70 westwards to exit 32. From the west, take Interstate 70 east to exit 32. From the north, take Interstate 75 southwards to Interstate 70 then west to exit 32.

Public Transport

Public transport road: 

Taxi: A number of taxi companies serve Dayton International Airport. The taxi booking booth (tel: (937) 890 3217) is located immediately outside the terminal building.

Shuttle: Charter Vans (tel: (937) 898 4043; www.chartervans.com) offers shuttle services from Dayton International Airport. A desk to book this service is situated in the baggage claim area.

Terminal facilities

Money: 

An ATM is located in the main concourse of the terminal building, while other cash dispensers are available after security. There is currently no currency exchange service at Dayton International Airport.

Communication: 

Free Wi-Fi Internet access is available throughout the terminal building. Mobile phone recharging stations are available. There is a mail drop service after security, and postage stamps can be purchased at the Fifth Third Bank ATM before the security area.

Food: 

There are a number of cafés, restaurants and bars at Dayton International Airport, including an Italian restaurant, an American-style diner, a bar and grill, and a sandwich shop.

Shopping: 

A book shop and a number of gift shops are available at Dayton International Airport. There are also a couple of newsagents selling newspapers, magazines and travel items.

Luggage: 

There is a lost and found office (tel: (937) 454 8327) in concourse B for items lost in Dayton International Airport. A Skycap porter service is available for passengers on some airlines. Passengers should contact their airline for items left on aircraft.

Other: 

An interfaith meditation room is open 24 hours a day. There is also a shoe-shine service.

Airport facilities

Conference and business: 

The Business Travelers Centre (tel: (937) 264 3560) provides meeting rooms, telephone access, free wireless Internet services and fax and photocopying facilities. This service is available free of charge to Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce members. Free Wi-Fi internet access is also available throughout the terminal.

Disabled facilities: 

Skycaps provide wheelchair service on request. Companion assisted restrooms are also available. TDD terminals are located at the phone board near the information centre and in the police office. Lifts in the terminal provide access to all levels of the airport and parking spaces for disabled visitors are available in every car park.

Car parking: 

The short-term car park is located immediately beside the terminal building in the new multistorey car park. The long-term car parks have more than 1,400 spaces, and they are both within easy walking distance of the terminal. The economy car park is located a little further from the terminal building, but is linked via a courtesy shuttle bus service, which links the car parks to the terminal. Valet parking is also available at the front of the terminal. Parking information is available on (937) 898 1555.

Car rental: 

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National car hire companies are represented at Dayton International Airport.

Airport hotels

There are a number of hotels near Dayton International Airport, many of which offer shuttle bus services to and from the terminal building.

Courtyard Dayton North is located 13km (8 miles) from Dayton International Airport. The hotel has its own swimming pool and offers complimentary parking as well as free Wi-Fi internet access.
